Monday: Read Matthew chapter 17 v 1 – 3. 1. Why did Jesus take only some of the disciples? 2. What does the word transfigured mean and how does it apply to us now as believers and the future state? 3. What does Moses and Elijah represent here?
Tuesday: Matthew chapter 17 v 4 – 21 1. What was the response of Peter and then the disciples in v 4 and 6? What does this say about being in the presence of the glorified Christ? 2. Who did the disciples understand that Jesus was speaking about in v 11-12? 3. Why were the disciples not able to perform the work for the father?
Wednesday: Matthew chapter 17: 22 – 27 1. What is Jesus doing in v 22 – 23 and why is this important to Matthew’s claim that he is the King – Cross reference Matthew 28: 18 – 20. 2. Peter found the money in the fish, a miracle indeed, so what does this say about Jesus as Lord and provisions for you and I as believers?
Thursday: Read Hebrews 11: 23 – 27. 1. Where did Moses’ decision first begin? 2. Who were the parents of Moses (Exodus 2) and what type of faith did they have? 3. Why is it important as parents for our kids to see us act out our faith at the “Nile River?”
Friday: Read I John 1: 1 – 3 1. “We can trust God’s word” – what does this scripture say to that? 2. In this scripture, what is the best statement explaining why John the writer is a christian? A. He was raised one and has always been B. He had an experience where he needed help and God helped him. C. He had evidence that he could not reject
Saturday: Read Matthew 26: 39 – 46 1. “We can trust God’s plan” – what does Jesus do in this scripture that tells us that statement is true? 2. Read Romans 8: 28 and explain how the cross was something that God brought good out of evil for them that love him and are called?
Sunday morning: Read Romans 1: 1 – 6 1. What is the greatest example of God’s power ever shown?
